01. Regulatory Compliance & Strategy
We perform detailed compliance audits to evaluate adherence to internal policies and external FAA regulations — then deliver reports with actionable next steps for risk reduction and continuous improvement.
Developed an internal drone management system integrated into their current work order management system, allowing Veolia to seamlessly incorporate drones as a force multiplier for their inspection operations
Scaled the New York Power Authority (NYPA) program over multiple years, from controlled areas and basic BVLOS operations to complex statewide BVLOS inspecting New York’s electric and water infrastructure. Each step increasing the force multiplier that drone systems provided to NYPA.
Developed Live Nation's drone program from the ground up, building out a complex nationwide event safety and security operation. Purposefully expanding each phase of operations for a smooth transition, reducing organizational churn by avoiding shifting standards and operational requirements between phases.

Supported representatives at the Part 108 Aviation Rulemaking Committee, comments developed through the NPRM process, and had direct influences on the waiver processes under Part 107, developing specific language changes within those approvals to streamline operations and compliance requirements
Designed and reviewed dozens of organizational policies and procedures around drone operations. Lead integration into larger business units across industries and operational styles to refine organizational policies for compliance while aligning to the needs and capabilities of the organization. Ranging from local utilities like Idaho Power to nationwide corps including Amazon and Live Nation.
03. Operational Risk Assessments
Thorough reviews of environmental impact assessments to ensure compliance and surface project-planning recommendations before they become problems.

Written nearly a hundred FAA-approved waivers, as well as approved SFOCs with Transport Canada.
A fundamental component of those approvals is the Risk Assessment, with the FAA using FAA Orders 8040.4 and 8040.6 and Transport Canada using the JARUS SORA framework.
Daniel is an expert in both methodologies and has pioneered novel risk mitigations to ensure operations remain within the risk tolerance of regulators.
Developed approved airspace authorizations in some of the world's busiest airspace, to include areas in the “0’ grid” around LaGuardia Airport (LGA), approvals around Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL), and within military airspaces.
The approvals were associated with waivers, ensuring airport proximity was not a blocker for advanced operations.
Daniel has developed and operated drones under Certificates of Authorization (COA), and can aid in development of those approvals for organizations that qualify.
